Its the time of year when we are doing a ton of floral consultations and helping our couples nail down their visions for the big day--we love the ideas stage, when everything seems possible, but a few months out, it is time for us to get things really nailed down! We always get asked, "what is the average for flowers?" And that's a really hard question--the truth is you can spend a fortune on flowers or eliminate them almost entirely, it really is up to you! We always work hard to give our couples the look they want in the most economical way possible, but the truth is that quality flowers don't come cheap. When booking your consultations, the best thing you can do is have some pictures of things you like, a sense of what you are looking for as far as numbers and service, and an idea of budget. The Canadian average is 10% of the wedding budget, but we have done weddings that vary so much from that figure, it makes it completely irrelevant! We always say the most important thing is the bride's bouquet--it is in every single photo--and also, if you are on a tight budget, spend money on a cool dream statement piece--a wreath, chandalier installation or amazing archway. All the other things won't be remembered, but if you blow people's minds with a couple things, it will set the stage for your whole wedding!
