Rain! It's been said that rain on your wedding day is good luck but we all know that is said by the people who need to make good out of the mess that is pouring rain on your big day. However, one could argue that a little misting rain during a massive west coast drought on your big day is a good luck sign, and hey, a little water never killed anyone! Yesterday we celebrated CJ and Matt's wedding on the farm with an absolutely beautiful ceremony followed by a fun and energetic dance party! We loved how laid back our bride was while the heavens decided whether to rain or not and finally ended up with strategic misting which luckily missed the ceremony and only misted during the cocktail hour when guests played lawn games like giant jenga or sipped lemonade from the cute lemonade stand!
Matt and CJ are so adorable and their constant joking and laughing makes everyone smile! What was especially cute about the ceremony was a "Warming of the Rings", which essentially means the wedding rings were passed around through the guests and up to the groom, allowing the guests to admire the ring instead of attempting to get a glance at it from meters away! It's things like that which really make a wedding special! Anther intimate touch was the glittery table numbers which at first didn't make any sense, but we're actually important dates from the couple's history, like first meeting and first kiss!
Our floral team created an insane set of bouquets - I mean, check out those dinner plate dahlias! And will you look at the rain today?! It's absolutely gushing from sky, it turns out CJ and Matt were lucky after all!
